John has fulfilled challenging leadership assignments in the military and in global corporations. He is a trained psychologist, with a specialism in organisational behaviour.
Strengths and Career Achievements
John has led programmes of global innovation and product launches in healthcare, provided organisational design solutions in the legal sector, and advised a leading FMCG company on accelerating execution. Prior to this, John worked as change manager in a global FMCG firm, leading the transformation of the supply chain and marketing for its European division. He was also head of Manufacturing and Projects for its Indian division, as part of a leadership team overseeing 40% annual growth; in this role he led an expansion project to establish a new manufacturing plant and head office on a greenfield site.
He has further developed his leadership and change management skills through training as a psychologist. He specialises in helping organisations recognise and develop the behaviours needed to transform and to deliver.
Before his business career John attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Royal School of Military Engineering, then served as an officer in the Royal Engineers, British Army. John studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. He also has a second degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Sport Psychology, and further Masters-level qualifications in Organisational and Business Psychology. He is a qualified coach and is a member of the British Psychological Society.
