A pharmaceutical manufacturer with no presence in Europe wished to launch a product into several major European markets. In parallel they wished to build an efficient European operation which could handle further product launches, and learn from European governance models.

 

The Needs
A simultaneous new product launch in several European markets to a 24 month timeframe.
In parallel, a new European operation to manage this product and subsequent new products.
To use the process to embed certain European governance and management practices in the corporation.
How we helped
Skarbek project managed the complex set of issues leading towards the launch, including supply chain, regulatory approval, quality assurance, distribution, medical marketing and salesforce.
Skarbek assisted with the appointment of three country General Managers, and established plans for the build-up of wider teams.
Skarbek identified key learnings on project management, governance and culture, which could benefit the Head Office as they expand to further new markets.
The results
The initial launch is on track for 2015. The client has expressed strong satisfaction about the project – a clear process, control mechanisms, momentum towards delivery.
The client are now confident about introducing other new products to the European market using the same systems, and have commissioned further assistance from Skarbek.
