Richard Lewis is a communications expert with over 25 years’ experience in Behavioural Change initiatives, Employee Engagement, Change Communications and Organisational Leadership and Development. He also coaches senior executives and management teams, and has considerable M&A and crisis communications experience on major change projects. Strengths and career achievements
Richard started his career in investment management with HSBC (Midland) Bank where he was a banker restructuring Latin American debt, before becoming Head of Communications. He then spent 7 years at Brunswick Group where he developed the internal communications practice, managed communications for the merger of Astra and Zeneca and for cross-border acquisitions for Tetra. He also coached CEOs and FDs for public presentations and worked on Mergers in investment banking, shipping and the food packaging sector.
Richard has extensive experience of working with global organisations that have a spread of national and organisational cultures and always tackles issues systematically and imaginatively. He is sensitive to the tone and style of an organisation and is skilled in identifying unifying factors and ensuring that disruptive factors are managed to a satisfactory conclusion. Having worked in investment banking at a senior level for over a decade, he has first-hand experience of the cultural challenges in organisations.
